Direct Selling

What is Direct Selling?
Direct selling is a sales channel where products are marketed directly to customers which eliminates the need for middlemen like wholesalers, retailers & advertisers. Direct selling can be conducted one-on-one, in a group or party format, or online.

Advantages of Direct Selling
Flexibility is the only factor which makes direct selling an attractive career option. Those who engage in direct selling are independent contractors who determine how much time and efforts they want to invest in their businesses. They set their own hours, and define and control their work-family life balance. An Independent Sales Representative is her own boss. Direct selling is also a way to own a business with a minimal capital investment.

Direct Selling: World Statistics
According to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), 87 million people, roughly the population of Vietnam, are part of the global, direct-selling sales force. Direct sellers around the world have $132 billion in sales annually.

Nail Art

Nail art is a creative activity to design fingernails (either colour nails or draw pictures). It is also part of fashion activity, related to manicuring. Today fingernails and toenails are observed as important points of beauty. Also we see artificial nail which we call Acrylic nails with beautiful designs and colours available in market (specifically in "nail bars").

ACRYLIC Nails

Artificial nails, also known as fake nails, false nails, fashion nails, nail enhancements, or nail extensions, are coverings placed over fingernails as fashion accessories. Some artificial nails attempt to mimic the appearance of real fingernails as closely as possible, while other designs may deliberately stray in appearance from real fingernails. Artificial nails are made from a wide variety of materials.

Precaution:

If you are thinking about doing your own acrylic nails, please, please please consider carefully where you are buying your products from and don't be shy in asking the supplier what they contain.

MMA is Methyl Metha-crylate.  This products is BANNED in the USA.

Why you should avoid MMA:
In the USA MMA has been classed as a poison, it can cause the following through prolonged exposure:

  • permanent nail loss
  • miscarriages
  • liver damage
  • respiratory problems (ever wondered why the nail techs in some shops where masks)
  • because of it's strength it is inflexible and can literally lift the natural nail off the nail plate.

If you have any doubts over whether or not the Acrylic Liquid/Acrylic Monomer you have purchased contains MMA, ask the supplier for an MSDS (material specifications data sheet) and this will tell you exactly what the product contains

Put your health and safety first before trying to save money on acrylic liquid.

Look for Acrylic Liquid that does not contain MMA.

Eye Makeup Guide

Beauty Reflects in your Eyes

I always get amazed (extremely suprised) seeing women who are able to completely change themselves into new person just by little of makeup. They are able to change every aspect of their face, from there eyes to the color of complexion. Its hard to identify how they naturally look like beneath the colourful liners & foundations.

But little makeup works only if applied in a way it should be.

Why Eye makeup is so important ?

For all ladies, the best way to attract when walk in the party, office, family functions is with your beautiful eyes. That makes it very important to do perfect eye makeup, if not you will get weird stares instead of good kind.

I believe Some eye make up tips will help here.

Tip # 1
Don't alway consider black liners as first choice. Many women regardless of their skin tone and hair color, believe that a black is perfectly acceptable. If not applied properly and strategically, it can make your eyes look smaller, & you may look bad. This may lead to no attention from others.

Tip # 2
Learn to love the colors already on your face and play them up with
complementary shadows. There are many neutral shades which will make you look good without having to try too hard. Here's how: Using a shadow brush, apply a dark bronze shadow to the outer corners of your eyes (just beneath the brow bones). Next, take a shimmery ivory or pearl and sweep it across your lids from the inner corners outward. This
has a brightening effect that balances out the bronze. Combined, the two shades add dimension that makes your eyes pop, without giving the sense of artificiality.

Tip # 3
Mascara can be a must or a bust if not applied properly. For the best results that look natural and not clumpy, start with the wand at the lash line and wriggle it at the base first and then sweep it upward. Also, try applying mascara to your bottom lashes so as to
open your eyes up even more, but do this with extreme caution. If your lashes aren’t black like most of the women, try a brown mascara.
If you want to apply multiple coats, do it while the first coats of mascara are still wet - applying a new coat to dry mascara will result in clumps.

Tip # 4
To Apply Eyeliner you can use liquid eyeliner, a liner pencil, or even wet eyeshadow on an angled brush to line your eyes. Whatever you pick, move across your upper lash line in tiny, controlled strokes as if you're drawing a dotted line. Go back and fill in the blanks with more small strokes. For more drama, line your lower lashes as well.

Tip # 5
Use an eyelash curler to grip your upper lashes. Hold the clamp for about five seconds. Accessing your lashes is easiest if you half-close your eyes. Remember, always curl before you apply mascara, never after.

Short tips:
  1. Consider buying a small set of eye makeup brushes for easier application.
  2. Practice makes perfect. Don't expect to get it perfect your first time around.
  3. Practice a special occasion look beforehand, so that you're confident in the result when the time comes.
  4. Take your time and do not rush, or you will sacrifice quality for time, as well as make more mistakes, forcing you to start over.
  5. Use mascara and eye liner made for specific eye colors, they really do help make your eyes "pop".
  6. Ask your family or friends for tips on application and which products to buy.
  7. Wash all eye makeup off before bed.
  8. A well-shaped brow instantly enhances any eye makeup.
  9. Lining the tightline with a black pencil liner will make your eyelashes look naturally fuller. Lining your waterline with a nude pencil liner will make your eyes look naturally brighter.
  10. If you want to forgo lash curling and mascara, you can put on fake eyelashes or get eyelash extensions.

Precautions while doing eye makeup
  1. Try to avoid getting makeup in your eye.
  2. Applying eyliner to your waterline is not recommended by Opthalmologist.
  3. Always wash your hands prior to applying makeup.
  4. If you do try makeup at a store or salon, insist the person applying it uses newly opened products or disposable applicators. Consider using disposable applicators at home, as well.
  5. Never drive and put on makeup. Not only does this make driving a danger, hitting a bump in the road and scratching your eyeball can cause serious eye injury.
  6. Don’t sleep in your makeup. You are creating an environment that invites infection.
  7. Keep makeup containers closed tight when not in use.
  8. Keep makeup out of the sun and heat (especially hot cars). Bright hot conditions can degrade the preservatives used to fight bacteria.
  9. If you do carry makeup in a purse, consider placing it in Ziplock storage bags that offer a clean environment that can be frequently replaced.
  10. Never add liquid to a product (to extend its use or change its consistency), unless the label tells you to do so. This can introduce germs that can grow out of control.
  11. Throw away any makeup if the color changes or it starts to smell. This might be due to degradation of preservatives, making it unable to fight bacteria.
  12. Stop using any product that causes an allergic reaction or eye infection, such as "pink eye." Throw away any makeup you were using when you first found the problem.
  13. If you are having eye surgery, follow your doctor’s instructions for not wearing eye makeup before and/or after your operation. Discard partially used makeup to avoid bacterial contamination.
  14. Prior to use, clean pencil eyeliners and sharpeners by removing any residue and then wiping them down or placing them in a small paper cup filled with rubbing alcohol. Allow the pencil to dry before using on skin. When sharpening the pencil, make sure you have smooth edges so wood pieces do not scratch your skinor eye.
  15. Avoid placing eye liner inside the lash line. It is best to apply along the outer edge of your lashes, away from the mucous membrane.
  16. Never share eye makeup with anyone. Another person’s bacteria can be hazardous to you.
  17. Never share your kajal, eyeliner or mascara — even with your best friends. You can spread bacteria that cause eye infections. Also, be wary of samples at cosmetic counters.
  18. Make sure you discard all eye makeup that has been opened for more than a year, even if it has not passed its ‘best before’ date.
  19. Clean your make-up brushes regularly.
  20. Remove all traces of eye make-up before you sleep. Use hypoallergenic, oil-free eye makeup removers.

If you wearing contact lenses, special precautions need to be taken while doing eye makeup.

  1. Avoid using oil-based makeup products around the eyes as they can negatively impact contact lenses.
  2. Keep mascara to a minimum with two light coats of color. This prevents flaking particles that could become trapped beneath the lenses.
  3. Avoid wearing false eyelashes while wearing contact lenses. The glue can make contact with the lens.
  4. Discontinue wearing eye makeup if your eyes become irritated. Consult with your doctor if you continue to have red or irritated eyes.

Cosmetics for Women

First impression is always your appearance

Beauty
Beauty is a characteristic of a person that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure or satisfaction. An "ideal beauty" is an entity which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection.

Cosmetics

We’ve all been there, when a woman says she’ll be ready in 15 minutes but then she goes into the bathroom and emerges only after half an hour at best. We all know that women spend many hours in front of the mirror, either applying or removing makeup products, but, the truth is, that might be time well spent. Researchers have agreed, based on countless studies throughout the
years, that cosmetic products can make all the difference, as LiveScience reports.

For starters, though we like to say things like, “Real beauty comes from the inside” and, “Never judge a book by its cover,” and perhaps even believe we live by them, at the end of the day, first impressions are deal breakers. A woman’s appearance has been shown to play an essential part in finding a partner (or love) and even in contexts like getting a job and / or a promotion. Therefore, ladies have all the more reason to take care of their complexion, all the more when they know for a fact time will show no mercy to them, as it happens with men, where most of them only get “better with age.”

“More than $40 billion is blown on cosmetics globally each year and hundreds of hours are spent applying creams, lotions and powders. Even with the recent downturn in the economy, makeup-addicts have simply turned to drugstores, instead of high-end boutiques, to snag their tonics, wands and face paints, according to a recent consumer report by Euromonitor International. Some people treasure their makeup and can’t imagine life without it. Others would argue all this time and money is wasted. But what does science say? Biologists argue that cosmetics can play a significant role in how your life turns out,” LiveScience says.

Because cosmetic products enhance our most attractive parts and hide minor flaws, if used correctly, they can be our biggest ally. “But before letting the woman behind the makeup counter pack up a duffel bag of ‘life-altering’ products, you might wish to know which ones are worth the dollars and time. If you are trying to look healthier, foundation and face powders may be most
important. If masking your age is your priority, mascara and a little nose shading may be a better bet than wrinkle creams. And if luring in a lover is your goal, you may want to amplify [gender]-specific traits, such as lush lips or sultry eyes,” the same publication further informs.

Wrinkles, for instance, cannot be eliminated without coming across as plastic or fake. A woman’s age can be guessed even if she doesn’t have wrinkles, the same report says, so this means she has to focus on another thing to hide it – like her nose, the same report argues.
